Brian McNeely, DDS

Dr. McNeely is a compassionate and skilled dentist dedicated to providing high-quality dental care for families in Concord, Charlotte, and surrounding areas since 2014. A native of the small town of China Grove, Dr. McNeely initially pursued a career as a chemist, but his passion for helping others led him to discover his true calling in dentistry. Today, as the founder of McNeely & Mallette Family Dental Group, he upholds the values of honesty, comfort, and exceptional service with a personal touch.

A graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry, Dr. McNeely earned his degree in 2006 and completed his residency in general dentistry at the Fayetteville VA Medical Center. After his residency, he trained and honed his skills as an associate dentist in Wilmington and Raleigh, NC, gaining valuable experience before founding McNeely & Mallette Family Dental GroupThis link leads to the Home page in 2014. His extensive training in implant and restorative dentistry includes expertise in crowns, bridges, partial dentures, complete dentures, and implant-supported prosthetics, enabling him to provide a comprehensive range of dental solutions tailored to each patient’s needs.

Dr. McNeely founded his practice committed to offering compassionate, family-focused care and ensuring patients receive the best treatment options. He is proud to deliver services that combine cutting-edge dentistry with small-town values, treating each patient like family. Dr. McNeely enjoys spending time with his wife and three children outside the office. He is an avid golfer, enjoys weightlifting and hiking, and loves to spend time at the beach during the summer. A fun fact about Dr. McNeely: he can spin a basketball on every finger for five minutes and can juggle!

Justin Mallette, DDS

“I have a passion for restoring smiles, while improving confidence. I strive to make all patients as comfortable as possible from your first exam and throughout the entire treatment.”

Dr. Mallette, a native of Greenville, North Carolina, was raised in a dynamic military family allowing him the opportunity to experience life across the East Coast, as well as in South Korea and England. These diverse experiences have enriched his worldview and approach to both life and dentistry.

A skilled practitioner, Dr. Mallette is dedicated to making dental visits a comfortable experience for patients of all ages, employing gentle techniques and the latest advancements in dental care. He thrives on the variety that the field of dentistry offers, relishing the uniqueness of each day.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Dr. Mallette cherishes his time with his wife and their four young children—Oliver and the triplets, August, Sage, and Maxwell.

Brooke Dolin, DDS

“I discovered a passion for dentistry while studying abroad in Brazil during my undergrad. It was there that I witnessed how dentistry truly has the ability to change someone’s life, which is what inspires me most.”

Dr. Dolin, originally from the Charleston, West Virginia area, pursued her dental education in her home state before relocating to Charlotte, North Carolina, to be closer to family.

A dentist with a deep commitment to providing both skilled and compassionate care, Dr. Dolin understands that every patient is unique, with individual concerns and goals. She takes the time to listen and truly understand your needs, ensuring you feel comfortable, heard, and respected at every stage of your dental journey. Whether you’re visiting for a routine checkup or a more complex procedure, Dr. Dolin’s gentle approach and thoughtful communication put you at ease, allowing you to achieve a healthy, beautiful smile in an environment where you feel valued and supported.

Outside of the office, Dr. Dolin and her husband enjoy spending time with their pups exploring local restaurants and hiking the scenic trails around Charlotte. A fun fact: sushi is her favorite food!

Megan Mazzarella, DMD

“Dentistry is not just about teeth but about forming relationships. My goal is to build a strong partnership with my patients, understanding their individual needs and goals so that together we can achieve the healthy confident smile they desire.”

Dr. Mazzarella is proud to call Huntersville, NC, her hometown. She attended Cannon School in Concord and furthered her education with a biology degree at UNC Charlotte. She also played Division I soccer for the Niners for four years, even making it to the NCAA tournament multiple years. She was accepted as a student in the ECU School of Dental Medicine inaugural class in Greenville, NC. While there, she learned advanced procedures in endodontics, periodontics, and oral surgery to help the patients of the Greenville community and surrounding areas. She continued her education at ECU with an AEGD program, where she advanced her skills in various specialties.

After practicing in Virginia Beach while her husband served in the Navy, she returned to the area to continue her dental career. She’s thrilled to return to the Lake Norman area, again serving the local community.

Christina Klug, DDS

Dr. Klug is a compassionate and skilled dentist who combines professional expertise with a warm, personalized approach to patient care. Coming from a close-knit family in Wheeling, WV, Dr. Klug values the importance of relationships and enjoys spending quality time with loved ones whenever possible.

Dr. Klug completed her undergraduate studies and dental degree at West Virginia University before moving to Pittsburgh, PA, where she worked in private practice.

Her passion for healthcare began at a young age. She was drawn to dentistry because it allowed her to blend her analytical skills with her creativity. As a dentist, she can directly impact her patients’ lives while engaging in hands-on, innovative work.

Outside the office, Dr. Klug enjoys traveling to visit family and friends, exploring new destinations, and spending time at the beach.

Dr. Klug is committed to providing her patients with the highest level of care while ensuring that every visit is a comfortable and positive experience.

Marcus Sonoga, DDS

Dr. Sonoga hails from Hermitage, PA, and is a product of two prestigious institutions, State University and West Virginia University, where he earned his DDS degree.

Dr. Sonoga wanted to be in a profession where he could make a difference in the lives of others. He pursued dentistry because it combines art and science and allows him to use his hand skills.

Outside the office, Dr. Sonoga enjoys spending time with his family, training for half-marathons and marathons, exercising, and watching Pittsburgh sports teams.

Tarah Coleman, DDS

Dr. Coleman grew up in Haysi, VA, and attended college at Virginia Tech. Following her undergraduate studies, she moved to Richmond, VA, to attend Virginia Commonwealth School of Dentistry, where she earned her DDS degree.

Dr. Coleman always knew she wanted to work in healthcare because she strongly desired to help others. She took inspiration from her family dentist, who made coming to the dentist feel like a break to catch up with friends while educating them on oral health and helping them have a smile they felt proud of.

Outside the office, Dr. Coleman enjoys spending time with her family outdoors, traveling, reading, and biking. In addition to this, Dr. Coleman and her family are active members of the Dilworth United Methodist Church and enjoy volunteering to give back to the community.

Leighton Fain, DMD

I like to say that I am Texas-born and Kansas-raised. I received my BA from Miami University in Ohio and then my DMD from the University of Kentucky in 2014. I moved to Charlotte in 2014 after dental school to complete a General Practice Residency at Carolinas Medical Center (now Atrium), where I focused on the treatment of medically compromised and head/neck cancer patients. I have worked in a private practice since my residency.

My favorite aspect of dentistry is getting to see myself physically improve my skills every single day. I also enjoy completing comprehensive dental care for my patients by working with specialists to create a successful and long-lasting treatment plan. I stay up-to-date with the ever-changing world of dentistry by participating in study clubs and attending seminars and hands-on workshops. 

I truly believe everyone deserves the right to oral health care and to feel confident with their smile. Through stable and predictable dentistry, I want to help my patients achieve their oral health goals. I am very passionate about public health dentistry and providing oral health to all communities, and I believe it is the responsibility of healthcare providers to provide this. I have volunteered at Agape Dental Ministry every month since 2022, providing free dental care for those who qualify.

Outside of work, I enjoy baking, cooking, group fitness classes, and trying new restaurants with friends.

Dr. Lindsay Moore

Dr. Lindsay Moore

“People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”

I’m a Charlotte native, which I know makes me a bit of a unicorn, and I’m proud to be back in my hometown serving the community that raised me. Outside of dentistry, I enjoy spending time with my family and staying busy as a new mom to my one-year-old son. I also have a puppy named Nola, named for my love of New Orleans. A fun fact about me is that my brother is also a dentist. He’s an oral surgeon.

I chose dentistry because it combines healthcare with creativity. I’ve always loved artistic outlets, and dentistry allows me to use that creative side while building meaningful connections and helping people feel more confident in their smiles.

The best part of my job is building meaningful relationships with my patients and helping them feel more confident in their smiles. It’s incredibly rewarding to know I can make a difference not just in their oral health, but in how they feel about themselves. Being part of that journey is something I’m truly grateful for.

Patients often say I have a calming presence, a personable approach, and a caring nature that helps them feel at ease.
