How does Invisalign® work?
- Initial Consultation During your Invisalign® consultation, we use smile preview software to take impressions and digitize your smile. These impressions are sent to an off-site lab to make your custom clear aligners.
- Begin Treatment Once your aligners are in, pick up several sets of your aligners at our office. Wear them according to your plan and switch out after wearing them for about one to two weeks.
- Follow Your Plan Continue doing this and visit our office every six weeks for follow-up appointments and to pick up your new trays. The process continues until your teeth are in their desired position, creating a straighter smile.

Invisalign® Aftercare
Once you complete Invisalign® treatment with our cosmetic dentist in Charlotte, NC or Concord, NC, we recommend wearing a custom retainer to prevent any shifting or movement.
Immediately following treatment completion, we may recommend wearing your retainers during the day. As time progresses, you’ll transition into wearing them only at night. As far as your dental hygiene routine is concerned, you should continue brushing, flossing, and rinsing as usual.
